Nashville OT'ers: opinions on the Springfield area?

I'm looking at a house that's in the Springfield high school school district. How is this area? I used to live in west Nashville but haven't heard or know much of Springfield. It's north of town, right?

I did some work in Robertson County for about a year. Spent a little bit of time in Springfield. Very small town. Pretty much dead in the middle of Clarksville and Nashville. That's about all I got. EricFromSpringfield posts on the SECr. Maybe he will come by shortly.

One of our biggest customers is in Springfield (lumber yard). Not much to it, but nice location that splits the difference between Nashville and Clarksville.

My professional advice is choose Hendersonville over Springfield if you have to be in that area.
