First post, but I've lived in Nashville for almost 13 years now, so I figured I'd toss my .02 in.

Unless you want to hang out with mostly tourists, I'd generally avoid Broadway bars. For proximity, sure, but if you're looking to mingle with the college crowd, head down to Division St and hit up Winners, Losers, Red Door, Blue Bar, etc. Scenery is much better, as I recall anyway.

Also, Deja Vu strip club is kind of a landmark "institution" that was recently bought and will be moving locations to who knows where, so you might consider that. It's on Demonbreun, right off the interstate and a block off Broadway. From there you could literally walk over the interstate and hit another run of popular bars off of Music Row.

The Gulch is another area with several bars and restaurants where the ladies like to get dolled up and be seen. Mercy Lounge/Cannery is a good spot for live music.

On the other hand, if you're just looking for cheap beer and honkytonks, then yeah, Broadway is for you. Acme is actually pretty decent for a downtown restaurant on Broadway that isn't tourist hell.

Hope this helps. Enjoy it while you can!

I'll be heading your way this weekend too, unfortunately not with a bachelor party. Just the wife, kids, and our friends and their kids. His brother has a tattoo shop down there. We will be ditching the kids at night though. Was there back 2001 for the Music City Bowl. Had a blast.

26 or 27. Most of them are within the military, so I don't expect much complaining from a weather standpoint. I'm mostly looking for recommendations on places to eat, drink, or maybe a pedal pub?

For a typical "get drunk" bachelor outing:

Obviously, go to Broadway (Acme, Robert's, Tootsies, Honky Tonk Central, Paradise Park, Pub 5, Broadway Brewhouse)

Head up Broadway a mile or so and hit up the bars by Demonbreun Circle (South, Tin Roof, Dawghouse Saloon).

Not too far from there (literally a few hundred yards) is "Midtown/Music Row". Lots of bars and restaurants right there worth checking out (Broadway Brewhouse, Tavern, Red Door Saloon, Hattie B's, Corner Pub, Winners, Losers, Rebar, Soulshine, Blackstone Brewery).

Y'all should also hit up the "Brewery District". It's right in 8th ave. S area close to The Gulch (Jackalope Brewery, Tennessee Brew Works, Yazoo Brewery, Czanns Brewery, Pour House, Arnold's, Peg Leg Porker).

You can walk into The Gulch and you've got a plethora of bars and restaurants (Hops and Crafts, Whiskey Kitchen, Saint Anejo, The Pub, 404, Burger Republic, etc...)

Lots of good suggestions in this thread. Realizing just how easy it is to overlook all the options that Nashville has to offer these days.

Soulshine is a good suggestion. Reasonably priced place to grab some good pizza and sometimes there's live music (blues/jamband/rock). Old buddy of mine owns that place. Whiskey Kitchen is a nicer joint, but good atmosphere and cocktails.

Damn, wish I had a bunch of buddies in town now for a bachelor party!

(Btw, if you do hit up Menages, let me know what you think. The wife and I have wanted to check it out, but hear it's like a giant ashtray in there!)

We've been several times

There are some older swinger types in there but LOTS of hot women as well.

Anything goes.

Nashville hater checking in. Second most overrated city in the country behind shite Portland. I'd recommend cancelling the bachelor party.

I'd read lots of reviews where people complained about the amount of cigarette smoke in there... not something the wife & I are really keen on at this point. What's your take on it?

No problem. While Nashville is not for everybody, our tourism industry has absolutely exploded.

If you like Indian food, we recently ate at a great place on 12th Ave. It's called Chauhan Ale and Masala House.

As for bars, I always like Blue Bar.

We are kicking so much arse it's ridiculous. 1500 families a month relocating to Middle TN. Every economist from othe major metro cities when looking at the financials of Nashville has nothing but positive things to say.

Fun times here, even better times when you're in real estate.
