Sitting in our family room and my wife asks why am I calling her. My IPhone was upstairs, in my office, charging. I went to grab my phone and it definitely tried to not only call my wife but also a number that is needed to log onto my company laptop.
Any ideas?

Maybe a security breach? Hackers are a serious threat.

Hopefully you haven't been to any questionable porn sites lately. Sounds like the Feds are tapped into your phone.

Mine started doing weird shite after I did the latest update and had my phone charging on one of the amazon basic cables that I use when traveling for work. Started random numbers into the call screen while sitting on the night stand. I unplugged it and everything was good. I switched cords to the one that cane with my iPad and it worked fine. So I don’t know if it was a surge difference between the two cords or what was going on.

Are you getting any ghost clicks when using it?

(Essentially taps on the screen where you haven't touched- I had one that started doing this a couple years back... made texts, or selecting someone to call a real nightmare)

When I checked on the phone and saw the two numbers it called I put it back down and checked on it a couple of minutes later and the TV icon was activated and I definitely didn't touch it.

Any chance she made the calls in an effort to destabilze your mental health to gain leverage in some sort of multi-generational family land dispute?

Do you have “hey Siri” activated?

My mother’s is hyper sensitive and will think that she’s talking to it all the time. Yours may have just heard a noise that it thought was you requesting it call your wife or whatnot.

Don't have Siri activated and the phone is up the steps in my office and made back to back calls. One to a number I use to activate my laptop for work access and the other as I was sitting 10 feet from my wife to my wife.
Don't use the phone for porn. It is a company phone.

Mine has done that when the screen got a little wet. It would call the last number I had viewed in my contacts list over and over. Had to power it off.

Is it around any sound that might sound like "hey siri, call _________"? Have you tried to turn it off for a little while? What version do you have & are you up to date on iSO?

My wife's Android does the same thing on occasion. It just randomly calls someone from her contact list. Usually me. Everyone we have gone to with this problem says it is not possible.

I have actually witnessed it sitting on a table, no one within six feet of it, and it just places a call.
