Why in the hell did you marry her?

I won't date anyone that is not at least close to being a big football fan.

As long as she complains silently, to herself, and continues to make sandwiches, I don't see an issue.

Live and let live is my motto.

I married a woman who loves football (although she doesn't totally understand it some times, which can lead to her being a negative nancy). I'm sorry for your poor taste in women.

Sorry dude. Sounds like you didn't really set those boundaries early on. My wife likes football, LSU, and the Saints, but does not sit down and watch every play of every game. But she does know that I do. I established this very very early and she never gives me a hard about it.

Yes.

I watch all LSU games. She knows this is just going to happen.

As I've gotten older, I don't really care about other games as much, I'll watch them if I have time, but I'm not going to skip doing something with the family if they ask to watch Ole Miss vs Arky.

I don't watch NFL. NFL is boring.

I thought about getting into the social scene and going to sports bars to watch games with friends.

That would only alienate your wife further.

Divorce is the only real answer.

Well, it's starting to make sense on why you are the most miserable, bitter poster on this site.

My SO loves football and cares about her team success as much as I do. The only problem is we are fans of opposing teams (LSU & Bama)

I just give my wife my credit card and tell her to go shopping. It works for me.

Similar boat. My wife absolutely hates football. She just doesn't care for it at all.

She does go to Saints games with me (I have no idea why I got her Season tickets), but she's not thrilled about it. I've cut down pretty signficantly on my football watching.

We've been together a long time and our relationship is pretty darn great otherwise, so I just deal with it. She knows I'm going to watch Saints games and LSU games and Pelicans games if I want to, and she lives with that. I just don't watch wall to wall football anymore.

Is that not something you bothered to know before saying "I do"?

Mine knew the score prior to engagement, and has come to love it and became a die-hard LSU fan. Good woman.
