There are no bars / venues that only have bands that play "countryish rock." Is that alt-country? Give us an example. There are a few bars that mostly country artists play at...

Continental Club on South Congress - Dale Watson plays there every week.

Broken Spoke - Country Dance Hall that's been around forever.

Elephant Room - Underground Jazz bar

You mean pop/"country" and hip hop all combined?

Nutty Brown usually has some good acts.

For your genre tho, may want to check out Grand Central Station in Phleugerville.

Downvote for what sounds like really terrible music.

Music or no music. Gotta hit Rainy Street. We saw the best band I saw for the weekend at a Brew Pub. Can't recall name, but it had a pizza truck in the backyard for food. If that helps locals give you a better answer.

100+ beers on tap and a big black woman who could wail. And a great guitarist. I was thoroughly entertained.

It's Austin you are gonna get a heavy dose of Red Dirt country mixed with bro country if you stay on "Dirty Sixth". But if you are early to mid 20's and want to fire on sloots as you listen then 6th st is the place for you.

Yep. Rainey street is solid as long as you don't mind hipsters. Nice area with a lot of food truck options.

That's at Craft Pride. The pizza truck is called Via 313 and it's fricking delicious.

You can also check out the bands coming to Stubbs.

Continental looked great. But was an uber away from most other things.

We just struck out. It was an Elvis Costello tribute band the night we drove down there. We got a drink at an Italian place nearby and left.

No offense to Elvis Costello fans.

Continental Club
White Horse
ABGB
Radio Bar
C-Boy's

For bigger shows there's Stubb's, Emo's, and ACL Live. Music will vary depending on the night.
