While I don't mind that this thug got his arse beat, I'd prefer judgment and sentencing to be left up to the court. It's a dangerous precedent to allow cops to be judge, jury, and executioner.

That said, if a cop killer is found guilty, the entire police dept. should get to throw 1 haymaker apiece at the guy right before he's shipped off to prison

Louis XVI was executed on January 21, 1793. For a machine that was supposed to provide a painless and quick death, the King died horribly. As the blade fell down, he screamed (well, wouldn’t you?) The problem was that his neck was so fat that the guillotine failed to slice his head off the first time. However, it did manage to come off after a second attempt. A young guard picked up the King’s bloody head for the crowd to see. As the mob rushed to dip handkerchiefs in the blood, they cried out, “Long live the Revolution!”

Now apologize.

Who raised you? Who taught you to speak to other people that way?

One example? Can you find one example of a firing squad not killing someone?

I'd like to think we could make advancements on the effectiveness of the guillotine. Sharper edge. More weight driving the blade.

I will never apologize. Apologies are for pussies.

We could. Theirs had wooden rails ffs. No telling how much friction there was slowing the blade down. They also made the guillotine shorter so they could transport it because executions were outside and public.

If it was a person everyone hated they may have not even sharpened the blade. Remember prior to the guillotine families of the condemned would often pay the executioner to make sure the axe blade was sharp.

You think anyone wanted Louis XVI's blade to be sharp?
