Mummy statue locked in display case starts spinning at Manchester Museum

An ancient statue created as an offering to the Egyptian god of death has stumped the Manchester Museum in England after a time-lapse video taken over a week-long period shows the artifact slowly spinning. The strange occurrence was first noticed by the statue's current caretaker, Campbell Price, who reset the relic back to its original direction after finding it askew, only to discover the statue returned to the wrong direction again the next day.

It probably has an uneven bottom and the vibrations of walking people causes it to rotate like that

I read on another website where people where saying that, but the head of the museum said that the statue has been in the same spot for years and hasn't moved like that until recently

The consensus in the reddit thread on this was that the fluorescents in the building start to hum and vibrate as they go bad. The humming has caused the statue to turn because the bottom isn't perfectly round and the statue is either unbalanced or the display case is at a slight incline. It explains why it doesn't happen at night too.

Yea and it's not impossible for the ground under the museum to change oh so slightly. Slight seismic activity perhaps.
