I would have to say that the most memorable moment would have to be D-day invasion.

Also the peace of Westphalia is pretty big. Established the modern concept of sovereign nation-states.

Maybe not the most memorable in all human history, but in recent history, the moment of the collapse of the first World Trade Center tower, because so many people watched it live.

Easily this when you look at the scope of the evolution of the species, but also gaining the ability to walk upright with bi-pedal locomotion would be right up there too.
