A Mesa mother was arrested on suspicion of damaging a car and assaulting a 16-year-old boy she found in bed with her daughter Thanksgiving morning, documents show.

The young man woke up to Jeanette Salas Woods attacking him as he lay next to her daughter in bed, according to Mesa police reports.

Police say the boy came over to his friend's house on Wednesday night, where the two 16-year-olds had sex. He reportedly fell asleep next to her in her bed until being woken up by her mother.

Investigators say Woods yelled at the boy, straddling him and punching him. When he got free, he grabbed his jeans and ran from the house, leaving behind a cell phone, car and the rest of his clothes.

Woods reportedly chased him from the residence and continued hitting him down the street until he vomited. The boy told police she only stopped after saying she was going to get cousins that would "take care" of him.At some point following the attack, he called police. When they arrived on scene, the boy's car, originally parked out front, was no longer there but shards of glass were in its place, according to the police report. The vehicle was later found down the street with about $5,300 worth of damage and a number of valuable items reportedly missing.
