Nicole Allen was hoping to make her daughter smile with a new toy. However, this toy had the opposite effect. It's called an "Evil Stick," and is supposed to play music and invoke happy thoughts. The packaging, covered in brightly colored swirls and a fairy, doesn't indicate what's being hidden. When Nicole peeled back the foil on this wand-like item, she was in for a real surprise. There was no fairy or unicorn. Instead, there was a disturbing image of a young girl hurting herself. Amar Moustafa, the owner of the store where the wand is sold, attempted to defend the toy, claiming that parents ought to be more cautious when picking out items for their children. Though the name "Evil Stick" is a bit foreboding, everything else about the toy appeals to young children.

Watch the video. The image made me lol

I mean.. It is called "evil stick." Although the packaging isn't suggestive of it, it's something labeled evil and it has something evil in it.

That's just plain bizarre. I don't know why anyone outside of extreme horror freaks would want something like that.

Snopes currently has it listed as an undetermined rumor. I think they did say there was another instance of the evil wand besides the alresdy reported story..

snopes isn't always right, it's like Wikipedia.

Found a lengthy reddit thread on it while doing a quick search as well. Never saw a manufacturer or anything pop up (although I wasn't looking too hard). But general consensus over there seems to be a cheap Asian Halloween product simply repackaged to move surplus product.

So obviously still no definitive answer on this other and its a stick.. and it's evil.

It looks like it was made in Japan. That is probably a perfectly normal toy to those weirdos. The store owner was cracking me up. He was so adamant that it was a good toy for 5-6 year olds.

I like the store owner, "If I was buying it for my kids...and I have a lot of kids."

But seriously wtf.

I assumed that it must be a joke gift for adults, but the packaging said 3 and up. I agree with the store owner, it's definitely not appropriate for children under the age of 5.

"Evil Stick" sounds like something some abusive Pentecostal uses to threaten their kids.
