VESTAVIA HILLS, AL (WBRC) -
Authorities are on the lookout for two suspects who went on a crime spree that spans across three cities and involves the apparent kidnapping of two people, one of them a woman from her home in Vestavia Hills.
Vestavia Hills police have obtained arrest warrants for 31-year-old Blake Fitzgerald and 31-year-old Brittany Harper, both of Joplin, MO. According to their Facebook pages, the suspects are dating.

According to Tuscaloosa police, a night clerk was kidnapped from the Microtel Inn and Suites on Veterans Memorial Parkway this morning. A spokesman says the morning manager came in at 7 a.m. and saw the night manager was not there. Police looked at surveillance video that showed the incident.

At 7:45 a.m., Hoover police say armed suspects tried to rob a manager at the McDonald’s at 1731 Montgomery Highway, which is across from The Galleria.

She says she called to another McDonald's employee who was nearby and threw her keys towards him. Harris said the attention from others in the parking lot scared the suspects off.
They fled in a blue Volkswagen Jetta.

Hoover police say the same suspects committed a home invasion, robbery and abduction in the 2400 block of Monte Vista Drive just 15 minutes later.
The homeowner told police a bald white man in his mid-30s entered his home through the garage door around 8 a.m. Sunday and said he had car trouble.
The homeowner says the suspect then pulled a gun and demanded the keys to the family vehicle. At that point the suspect took the keys to the 2010 silver Ford Edge tag No. 2720AG7.
The homeowner says the suspect then forced his wife into the vehicle and they were joined by a white female who's about 5'9-5'10 with brownish red hair, wearing a beige jacket.
The suspects drove the wife to Grandview Hospital's Emergency Room.
The wife flagged down a driver who brought her home.
Police later found the blue Jetta used in the Hoover robbery abandoned. Investigators learned it had been stolen during another robbery and abduction in Tuscaloosa Sunday.
Vestavia Police say if you see that car, do not approach it. Call police at 978-0140., Hoover police at 822-5300, Hoover Detective Drew Mims at 739-7274.
