If anyone could survive, it would be two young males. They just don't have the quit in them like everyone else. Hope it is them.

Actually, middle aged males are statistically more likely to survive in those situations. During WWII, the British government did a study of merchant seamen torpedoed in the North Atlantic and the young guys gave up and died when the older ones hung on. The Outward Bound wilderness program had its beginning as a survival course to instill confidence and a willingness to persevere in young men going to sea for the first time.
