At 3:15 a.m., Mathews reportedly went to check on his daughter, but she was gone. He told police he looked around but couldn’t find her, claiming he planned to continue his search when the sun rose. In the meantime, he told police, he decided to do laundry.
Police said he did not mention that the family’s 2013 Maroon Acura MDX SUV pulled out of the garage at 4 a.m. and returned home about an hour later.
Five hours after the girl disappeared, Mathews called police and reported his daughter missing. An Amber Alert soon followed, as did a child endangerment charge against her father. He paid the $250,000 bail the next day, surrendered his passport and strapped a monitor to his ankle as conditions of his release.

“Police are still trying to figure out where [their vehicle] was between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m.,” he said. “They’ve asked for the public’s assistance.”
The public has responded by forming into small groups to try to find her, searching surveillance videos and creating a “Where is Sherin Mathews” Facebook page.

In which part of Dallas did this guy live?

I had a thread on this a while back and there still hasn't been any updates. Got a feeling the FBI has found something or is looking deeper into something, as there hasn't been any news updates in a few days since FBI talked about their SUV and removed stuff from the house. It's clear the POS killed her and took her body away.

Guilty.

Also, it's been reported CPS has dealt with this family before but they haven't said why.
He didn't pay the bail, his church did. They'll feel like shite when murder charges are filed against him.

This story makes me so sad. So many people who would love to be good parents and can't and this piece of crap probably killed his own child.
I hate so many people so much.

Ummm, you think about this sort of thing often, I bet.
Seriously though - did this POS's church really post his bail?? This is the douche that left his kid under the tree on the middle of the night. Why would a church, or anybody for that matter, post his bail???

I think its time someone kidnaps the dad and tortures him.

I Can only hope this POs gets the everloving shite beaten out of him

They can't find her. POS Dad lives a 15-20 minute drive from the bridge going over the lake. It's not an unreasonable assumption at this point. I'd be using sonar on that lake bottom and some divers.

Had he owned up to leaving the house he may have actually gotten away with it. It's entirely plausible that the guy would drive around looking for the daughter for an hour. He may have actually done a load of laundry but it probably involved soiled or bloody clothing. What a sad story.
