Well race was a huge part chess piece for the conquering classes...a chess piece that was used to wield unduly influence over every major indigenous group on this planet...
So it's just not a "let's just move passed it" type of thing. We can look at all the good it has done in globalizing the world (ALOT of good) and then we could also look at the out-datedness of that social construct, then look at how seemingly every thing that matters seems to have some glaring sort of racial disparity between the ruling class and everyone else. Any one with a 10th grade history education would tell you, that throughout the history of time and man, those disparities aren't solely due to chance.
We could start there an make our way into every meaningful realm of life.
Or you could start in other places, if you want to start addressing the white communities issues.

A white community would be racist. Black communities are acceptable though.

You need to realize you're not fighting against racism, in the grand scheme of things. You're fighting human nature, and it's a battle that you can't completely win.
People don't lack a moral impetus to fix the society, white or black, because they are racist. They lack the moral impetus because we are generally selfish and do what is best for ourselves, not others. It's why men like Socrates, Jesus, and Gandhi didn't live life saying stuff like, "Good job, guys! Keep up the good work!"

When things like this keep happening it becomes increasingly harder to try to defend black people when you hear people spew their racist agendas. I used to try to argue against it but I really don't have much of a leg to stand on at this point. I guess you just tell yourself that it's not a bad as the racists would make you think but it's not as rosy as the defense you try to make against them.

Blacks vote for the same people at like a 90-95% rate. Blacks poll at higher rates on the same issues than virtually every group by a wide margin.
Whites are signficantly more diverse in their opinions, views, and status.
