Perhaps in the south with summer pop up thunderstorms. Typical California rains are widespread, when they do occur.

Maybe their house is under an umbrella. Or maybe it's somehow only rained when they've been at work or away. Otherwise it's BS. They've gotten storms big enough that it rained everywhere.

I don't believe them.

I've been within an hour of there in the last 5 years when it was raining all over Cali. They probably only get a few inches a year, but I no way believe they've gotten "no rain in 5 years"

Edit-however, now that I think about it, I can't remember the last precipitation here....it has to have been months.

california rainy season is around october - march.
