Wow. The insanity is reaching critical mass.
quote:
The mayor of Memphis, Tennessee, says he thinks a statue of Confederate General and Ku Klux Klan leader Nathan Bedford Forrest should be removed from its location at a city park.
In a statement emailed to The Associated Press on Wednesday, Mayor A C Wharton Jr. said he would like to see the statue removed from Health Sciences Park. Wharton said the graves of Forrest and his wife, also located at the park, should be relocated as well.
Wow. The insanity is reaching critical mass.

All this shite has been a colossal waste of brain space in everyone's head. There are about a billion more pressing issues in our world, removing patterned fabrics and centuries old corpses are not amongst the billion.

Wharton is a piece of shite

And it's what happens when you give into screaming children.
It's sad how people are scared to death of a little possible bad publicity and being called a racist that they attract attention, often negative mind you, to themselves doing stuff to try and say they're not racist.

I agree 100%, but the stakes are ever increasing if you decide to speak out and go against the petulant children. How many people have lost their job, and or financially hurt because they have a stance that isn't politically correct? Look at all the companies who were throwing their weight around on the whole cake baking issue. Social Media has given these malcontents a weapon 1000X mightier than the pen. It's scary, and I'm not sure we can shut the pandoras box that has been opened.

Do these people not realize they are doing the same thing the Taliban did with ancient history?

It's actually creating racism where it may not have been before imo.

If he knew what Memphis had become he'd probably prefer it. If they don't want him in Tennessee, he can stay at my place.
