Its time for a new mattress. I had decided on a Sleep Innovations 12" memory foam from Amazon based on recommendations on here and price (it was selling for $459 king size) with thousands of good reviews. Figured for $459, i'd take a chance and if it sucked, i'd move it to one of the spare rooms.
Well that same mattress is selling for over $700 on Amazon now, so I'm more hesitant to give it a shot.

Is it worth over $700? Does anyone here have it? Any other brand worth checking out? Is tempyr pedic worth $2000?

I've had one that I got, because I saw it on here also. I've had mine for going on 3+ years now and love it. It is a little firmer than I expected, but hasn't caused me any issues at all. Wouldn't hesitate to buy another one.

google casper and leesa mattresses. they are two that get good reviews as well and have 90 day or so free returns. memory foam (with gel and other stuff) for much cheaper than tempurpedic

I own the Classic Brands 11" talalay latex mattress. I love it. In going around town to various mattress shops, I learned that memory foam can really vary, from very soft to very firm. Some you wouldn't be able to convince me that I wasn't lying on a board. Latex, however, consistently feels like latex. And I prefer it to any cheaper memory foam mattress I've lied on.

Also, it was $189 for the Full XL when I bought it. The king/cal King are right at $600.

ETA- I made the decision that I couldn't buy memory foam online because there was no way I'd know what I was getting. Latex, however, was not a problem to order online because I had a pretty good idea of what I was getting. I could be totally off base, but that was my conclusion.

Spending money on a bed is no better than spending money on rims. It's flashy and it shows the world that you don't know what to do with your money. So in short, trashy.

Not sure what my parents got, but my mom doesn't mind it, and my dad hates it. Still after a couple years. And it wasn't cheap.

I'll stick to the springs unless I ball and decide I want a sleep number or something

You can price watch using Camel Camel Camel. You can see that it has recently shot up in price. Will probably drop back down soon.

you should have picked the right mattress if you were spending 3K, sounds like a dumb purchase IMO
