does the village have a town rapist to administer the punishment?

Really good point. As long as they aren't being raped because of their brother having an affair they should never complain about anything.
Just like how taxes are higher in other countries so you never complain about taxes. Or how crime is higher in other countries so you never complain about crime. Or how people are born in tent villages in India with little to no opportunity so you've never complained about bad service at a restaurant.
Just SUCH a great, thought out point there.

Okay, I agree...

The point is how much play will this story get from the nightly news compared to a dumb lion that would eat your a-hole before he played snuggles with you?
Couldn't tell you, but Americans as a general rule care more about Americans than anything else.
shite like this happens all of the time around the world and it if fricked up, but you and all of your friends on Facebook sleep just fine.
The reason you probably heard so much about the Lion is because it involved an American. If the guy was from any other country I doubt we would have heard much about it here.

Careful pointing out flawed logic in threads like this is frowned upon.

They care more about lions and pretty white girls.

I sleep just fine regardless. I still buy products from China even though they are barbarians. I'm not claiming some moral high ground.

No doubt about it.

I'm really not. At all. Why do you think I am?

quote:That was a wild story. Now, in sorta fairness, your statement is that the girl didn't have a choice, which is incorrect.
Also, let's not forget the story from a couple weeks ago where a Texas judge ordered a young man to marry his girlfriend as part of a plea deal. The girlfriends opinion wasn't considered.
But in general, yea that story was terrible. The judge made the girl stand up in court during the dude's sentencing and asked if she was ok with marrying him. Of course she was scared, freaked out, and said yes. But just to clarify, it's not like it was an order, and there was literally nothing she could do about it. She coulda backed out at any time.
But yea, that judge should come under serious scrutiny at any rate..

The logic isn't flawed on this particular topic. In this situation the American feminists "persecution" is so damn minuscule compared to other places, that thinking they are ridiculous is a logical feeling.
I think that the comparisons made in the other post are off base.

It was simply a quick comment on the internet. I agree with what you are saying, but the part I hate about many (not all) American feminists, and honestly many people fighting for social equality, is that they always fail to acknowledge that the United States is so much better off than just about every other country. I'm tired of hearing how terrible this great country is.

And SJW's think some crude song lyrics constitute a "rape culture" in this country...

This story sounds more like Tuscaloosa to me...
