Mayor SWB Claims To Have Discovered City Contract With Silky Slim Through Records Request

WAFB Article
Sgt. Taylor is head of the BRPD Union.
I find it incredibly hard to believe that some ghetto piece of shite on Broome's transition team just happened to land a city contract without the mayor's knowledge, especially after Broome blatantly removed funding for the research work LSU did to support BRAVE, and instead signed contracts with radicals.
Baton Rouge's mayor is retarded, incompetent, and racist. Essentially every the democrats of this dying city try to pin on the whites. Projection at its finest.
Her track record in just a few months is atrocious and shows she has absolutely no ability to run a snowball stand, much less a city.

"You've taken one of the most divisive people in the City of Baton Rouge and you entered into a contract with him? Despicable. I gave this administration a little more credit than that," said Sgt. Taylor.
Mayor Broome says she was not aware of a contract with Silky Slim. "No, I was not aware. I became aware of the contract through a public records request." Thursday morning, the mayor abruptly cancelled that contract and sent a statement.
quote:
We're told the contract was signed at the end of June for Reed to talk to troubled teens in hopes of reducing crime, but the contract for $9,800 did not require the mayor's signature.
When asked why she canceled the contract, Broome responded, "Because he does not represent what I want to see moving forward in this city."
"I think this is a direct response to the public records request that is received and they're scrambling to save themselves," said Sgt. Taylor.
The 9News Investigators went to City Hall Thursday, trying to get copies of the contract and the cancellation paperwork. Instead, we received another email later in the afternoon saying they're still working on our request.
Despite the mayor distancing herself from Reed, Sgt. Taylor still has strong feelings about the her. "I've heard for a year that Chief Carl Dabadie needs to be replaced. With the decisions and connections of this administration, I think it's time that the mayor is replaced," said Sgt. Taylor.
"I am going to move this city forward. I respect the police. I know that they serve us. I want to certainly work with the police. We're going to move forward. We're going to move forward beyond this. I am going to lead this city and we're going to bring this city together. That is what I was elected to do and that is what I am going to do," said Broome.
The mayor says from now on, any contracts, regardless the amount, will have to go through her and require her signature.

Bless her little heart. Her and her administration just can't get out of their own way. How many scandals and frick ups does this make?

Done more in months? Name one thing.

Melonie is correct, SWB has done quite a bit in these last few months. Unfortunately, it's almost all bad and brought no good to this city. The only thing I can think of in he entire term that she has done that didn't piss me off was riding around with BRPD for a couple of nights. I was hoping it would mellow her out a bit, but in ended up doing absolutely nothing.

She's been being black.
That is all that matters.

Maybe SWB is a successful mayor to that lady. It's all about perspective. When the number of people in your city with that perspective come close to outnumbering those that don't, then it's time to move.

Got rid of the police chief.
Not a good thing in my book, but I have a feeling that that woman and I have very different opinions on what's best for BR.

She's had more meetings in 6 months than Kip had in his first term.
Yes, the mayor and crew consider having meetings as an accomplishment.

I don't really see what she has done. I'm curious as to what she has accomplished.

I seriously don't know what she's done in nearly 8 months.
The only thing of note is getting a property tax on the fall ballot for transportation initiatives. An initiative that Broome said "is not the Green Light plan" but has nearly all of the green light projects that were unfunded.
