( or he was a great dad and left a hugh game because his kid was sick)

What say the OT? Do y'all really think his kid was sick?
How sick would your kid have to be to leave a title game for LSU?

No. Even if, I'm sure Wahlberg has a nanny or sitter on staff,

No, he just flew down to Houston with his family to act like he was going to watch his favorite team. He is an actor.

Those are rare for an LSU fan. They should stay until last rites, kid's or team's, whichever comes first.

I once left an Iron Bowl at the start of the 2nd qtr because I got a phone call that my dog had gotten free from the tailgate (to be clear that's also when I got the phone call).

But that's for my dog. With a kid I would wait until the end of 3rd qtr.

As I was sitting there in the 3rd I thought to myself, "is it wrong to leave the Super Bowl early to beat the crowds?" Then I slapped myself and said hell no.

With that said, up until the 4th it was a very boring game. If I was someone like Marky Mark and did that sort of thing all the time, I wouldn't put leaving out of the question.

gonna give him a pass because his movies are normally a pretty fun watch, and his wife banned him from watching patriots super bowls at home after the last time the giants beat them

quote:

The star of Ted has been officially booted from his house on the first Sunday in February. Mark Wahlberg says that his wife has banned him from watching the Super Bowl at home, based on his reaction to the Patriots’ loss to the Giants in Super Bowl XLVI. According to WENN.com, Wahlberg says that, after the game, he kicked his friends out of his house and then yelled at his wife when she told him to calm down. “She was so upset I wasn’t able to make it up to her until Valentine’s Day,” Wahlberg said. “She said, ‘You know, you’re never watching the game again [at home],’ but now she just hopes that the Patriots make it back to the Super Bowl so she can go on, like, a week vacation.”

There's a big difference in having Tom Brady in your corner vs. Jordan Jefferson
