Which Judge?

Sounds kind of like my neighbor on Calhoun - 80 yr old, uptight, ex judge.

Does getting old mean you shouldn't still be having fun?

It means you shouldn't give such a rats arse about a parade that you militantly rope off borders and growl about it being YOUR patch of neutral ground

Does it also mean you should shove a stick up your arse? Why do you care?

It's a thread about an elderly retired man roping off sections of public property and claiming its his. It's weird behavior.

This is a touchy subject for you. That's weird too.

It's completely normal behavior this time of year.

You're the one that cares about what he's doing.

No sir.

Marking off space for Mardi Gras parades does not equal "uninterrupted possession."

Pull up the stuff and dump it in front of the law office.

If he wants the space, he can camp out there until parade time.

The city needs to lease out the neutral grounds for a $1 per square foot per parade.

Better than traffic cams.

Not really weird.

Back in the day, if you wanted a good spot you went out at 5am and claimed it. Now people claim spots with spray paint weeks in advance and then rope and tarps days before.
This is public land being claimed. It's making it harder for the average person to enjoy the parades.

I actually don't have to deal with it as I have friends with a house near the Womac law firm, so there is always a spot. Though when I meet up with people on Orleans you can always see turf wars going on.
