Liveleak link with disturbing video

Cat rescued

quote:

video who became the target of the Internet’s outrage on Thursday was not the alleged culprit, police say. Despite police in North Carolina searching for a suspect on Thursday, the incident happened in Chicago. Police have charged 18-year-old Leon Teague with felony animal torture, the Chicago Tribune reports. The name “Daquan Smith” circulated on social media. His address and other personal information was published by enraged animal lovers, and a Twitter account was set-up to details about him. It’s not clear if the North Carolina resident, who deleted his Facebook page, reposted the video. The police department’s Animal Crimes Unit worked with Cook County sheriff’s department to gather information during the investigation, identifying Teague as the person in the video, according to the release. The incident took place in the 6900 block of South Kind Drive, and the cat was last seen alive in that area but ran away when officers tried to catch it, according to police. Teague is scheduled to appear in Cook County bond court Friday.

cat will survive but it will be fricked up. Quick factoid, Domesticated Cats have the thinnest skin of any mammal.

They should be charged as well.

Guy's a psychopath, but it's a joke that public resources are going towards charging and possibly incarcerating someone from maiming a cat.

Seriously, who cares? I'm sick of internet crusades.

Fwiw, there's a high correlation between animal abuse and child abuse/domestic abuse. So, it's good that he is found and charged so his criminal profile can be more complete.

Survived boiling water. Does not want to be shot. I'd run away from the police too.

It's a better use of funds than having our cops do inspection sticker checks.
