Dude steps on snake while playing on smartphone
I've seen people run into walls and doors or even step into water fountains. But this is pure brain dead stupidity. Dude steps on a 4 ft bull snake while he's walking. Of course, it bit him.
How the hell do you not see a 4 foot snake on the sidewalk?

I had a guy walk in the intersection of around Napolean in Metairie while on the phone I was approaching the red light thus already slowing - had to come to a hard stop. The guy looks away from the phone and flips me off - I guess I upset him by not allowing him to committe suicide.

Exactly what I was thinking. I don't walk around the city expecting to run into a snake. It's just not something you even think about.

I've stepped on two rattlesnakes in my time tromping around the woods. I'm not scared of snakes at all but it's enough to make you shat yourself.
The first time it was too cold and it couldn't move fast enough to bite me. The second time I stepped off of my atv onto one that had just eaten a squirrel or something so it couldn't coil up enough to strike.
A VERY uneasy feeling even for the most seasoned outdoorsmen.
