I had about 3 castles as a kid. My cousins had a few too.

We'd build the castles, then, get on the top bunk of their bunk beds with his sister's Persian cats. We'd pretend the enemy castle was catapulting bombs, and lob the cats at the newly built castles. This would happen repeatedly until the castles were leveled.

As opposed to what?

Fantasy football? Baseball cards? Restoring antiques? Collecting sports memorabilia?

It amuses me to see "nerds" (and believe it or not, yes, all the above mentioned and more are "nerdy") somehow delegitimize someone's personal hobby.


And yes, I am a Lego-maniac, so maybe I'm biased.
