After reading the article and watching those pillars of our society running around outside the hospital yelling profanities, I think TPD did us all a favor.

When officers caught up to him, he resisted arrest.
quote:
Mr. Ware continued to resist officers until they were able to put him into handcuffs.
quote:
TPD had a warrant to charge Ware for attempting to elude police.
quote:
In 1999, Ware was arrested for shoplifting a pair of shorts and fighting officers at the Parisians store at University Mall. Court records indicate that he resisted arrest and that officers used pepper spray.
quote:
He also had convictions for second-degree assault, escape, drug possession and drug trafficking
Something tells me this guy didn't want to get caught.

Of all the news stories on this, the one being shared most is the one with the headline having resisting arrest in quotations...

edit: this happened 24 hours ago and hasn't blown up yet? probably wont amount to much

Did they get a comment from the woman he choked out, then raped?
Did they get comments from his teachers and professors?
Did they get comments from his boss and co-workers?
Neighbors that he helped?
Pastor or clergy that he knew?
Kids he mentored?
Did he provide care for his parents?
There was not much information about his life in any of the articles. We say his life mattered. Why? Does anyone here know him? Was he a nice guy? Funny?
I would like to know why his life mattered. Can anyone help me?

I cant tell you exactly who he was. But i can guess.
A man that got excited on the first of the month, 40 oz drinking, blunt smoking, genuine man of character. His comedy and light heartedness while playing dominoes was uncanny. If he had a house and grass in his yard it would have been pristine. A true man Tuscaloosa will miss. It is unfortunate the police were out to get him. He was a good man.

Dude was a TPoS. He choked out and raped a woman last fall. The the woman "recanted." Judge refused to dismiss the case. There are a few people agitating to try to turn this into something. But so far the community here is basically not giving a shite.
It's pretty clear he had a heart attack. He ran and fought the police.

If he hadn't been a dumbass he could have died in the comfort of his own home.

yeah I can imagine a lot of people from his side of town already knew he had it coming.

Someone in the "community" called him in saying he was sitting on the porch with a gun. Dude had a warrant out on him. Police shows up and he runs into the woods.
I'm pretty sure 99.9 percent of this town is glad he is dead. The 0.01 percent just wants a good excuse to go riot and steal stuff. But this ain't Baltimore or Ferguson. People here will shoot you dead when you try stuff like that.
