Where the hell do you go in America where you need to "protect your life"

That's half the problem with our gun culture; we've established environments were hysteria and obsessions for property and material drive this gun laden, theft-xenophobia. This isn't Iraq or Somalia, yet we have people with the same mentalities we despise

Dude said "you can carry a gun but I can't breathe"!
Since they were so determined to call him a racist he should have called the people harassing him a bunch of n-words and then stood his ground when they attacked. A few .223 rounds to the head would have shut them up for good.

Just curious, what kind of firearm technology was around when these laws were written in the US? Like what was cutting edge firearm technology when the 2nd Amendment was signed into law?

Shitty muskets but the idea was that the people should have the ability to protect themselves from a tyrannical government so going by that we should be able to procure the most up to date weapons. I know we can't anymore but we should AT LEAST be able to own weapons with the ability to give us a chance to fight back in case we ever needed it and we should also be able to own something that allows us to fight off 20-30 violent thug attackers.
