It is creepy AF. It really gave me an uncomfortable feeling riding around with him in the car all day knowing he had looked at my phone. He kept making weird hints about it too.
The worst part is the tout themselves as "Brothers in Christ".. like these religious do-gooders. But they're not.
Luckily, most of the staff both in Texas and BR found out about what happened not even from me (people overhearing), so everyone knows what kind of person they're really working for.
If you count me, 4 people quit last month.

Unfortunately they will find replacements and the cycle will continue

I mean, I don't store nudes on my phone really. But when you click "details" on a text with someone, you can see every photo that has been sent back and forth.
And I don't clean out my photos every single day or anything.
The point was more that he could have found anything. I'm a 24 year old female with a long distance boyfriend, and he went through my most personal belonging that he has no right to (was not a company phone). The things he talked about finding were DEEP into my text messages.

Seeing y'alls reactions now ... man. I didn't think it was THAT serious and maybe I was being dramatic
No, that's fricked up. I can't believe a 50 year old man wouldn't know better. It's just strange. Just to see what you had been texting a former employee? Did he find anything he didn't like?

Yep :( They are good at tricking you. I drank the KoolAid even when others warned me not to. I really thought it was going to be a successful career path for me. I loved sales and I loved industry.
But maybe it led to something better.
But yeah, I didn't get touched by anyone. Although Jones was equally as angry about what did happen.

I would have told his wife and then see his reaction

Worst part? He's a lawyer.

Yeah. He found a text from her joking about kicking them in the balls and me laughing at it. Normal employee bonding via bitching about work.

From what I hear, his wife is a little crazypants too. She is the daughter of the CEO. President who looked through my phone is the son-in-law.

I didn't even know it was illegal, but I sure as hell know it's inappropriate to go through someone's personal phone. Especially the way he did it, coming up with weird excuses and shite.

It sucks that to take legal action against a company you would need to document many instances in which he violated your rights as an employee. Allowing you to be subjected to that nonsense even longer.
Posted on 8/3/15 at 5:08 pm to J Murdah
Well the wrote up some fake journal with "sad faces" (the CEO is 73 so I guess this was the best idea he could come up with) of times they didn't like something I did.. I guess to use as proof that they were already considering letting me go if I took legal action.
But the instances were beyond stupid. Like the time I urged the 73 year old not to send a horribly harsh email to Association of Builders and Contractors... Which he still sent, by the way, and the president of that abc chapter was appalled by it.
I could easily go back and document each time I was told my job is 100% secure.. All the way up until the day before he went through my phone.

You have to sign a write up for it to matter
They do that so he can't do what he did

Interesting. And makes sense.

I'd choke a fricker if something like that happened to my wife

I'm very lucky to have gotten another job before a whole week was even up of being unemployed . My biggest fear with how a six-month stint was going to look on my resume when realistically I lost the job by no fault of my own .
This isn't exactly a story you can tell in a job interview without looking like a dramatic person
