LSU Tailgating Spot

It has been a while since I've been back to campus. We're looking to setup a tailgate this weekend. We're thinking of tailgating in that wooded field behind the Greek Theatre/Student Health Center and The Pentagon...by Kirby.
We're mainly looking for quick ease to the parking lots, The Chimes(bathrooms), and shade. It's a pretty wooded area...oak trees and cypress trees.
Do any of you know if a lot of people tailgate there? Is it a good spot? Can we "show up" and stake our claim this weekend? Thanks

That area usually has high traffic. I'm pretty sure you can show up and setup with no problems.

They actually cut out most of those trees and put a reflecting pool there. Not much room to tailgate.
