“The DHH staff has interviewed him. He did not have contact with any individuals infected with Ebola and nor is he risk for Ebola. In talking with him, we confirmed that he understands the signs and symptoms, and knows what to watch for. Our staff will be doing incremental symptom checks with him out of an abundance of caution.”

It's protocol. It's been done and will continue to happen. Tulane doctors have also recently returned.

It's not him to worry about, it's the other people on the flight from Liberia with the explosive diarrhea

So he was allowed in an airport and on connecting flights without quarantine. Awesome. Why can't they be put in quarantine prior to arriving in the US? Or immediately upon landing.

He's not actually being quarantined. That title is a little misleading.
Looks like they have things under control and the person in question is well educated on Ebola.

According to WAFB, he's only "quarantined" or restricted from the LSU campus. He doesn't plan to stay home.
quote:
Krause says he will work from home for the next three weeks, but he does not plan to stay at home the entire time. That is because he says he is confident he did not come in contact with anyone infected with Ebola. But just in case, he is watching his health very carefully.
