LSU President Reinstates Greek alcohol ban, says they didn't take it seriously
quote:

In the weeks that followed, restrictions were gradually lifted and last week fraternities and sororities were given permission to have parties with alcohol again, provided they engage in educational safety workshops and abide by security and ID checks.

Alexander said he has learned new information that made him reconsider the decision to allow the parties.

"During this time, I have been approached by a variety of individuals ranging from current students to parents and alumni, who have shared information with me through confidential conversations," Alexander said in a Thursday letter to Greek leaders. "These details demonstrate that there are those among us who have not yet absorbed the severity and seriousness of the current situation. It also underscores that there are a few who seek to maintain the status quo despite continued warnings about the dangers inherent in such actions."

Did all the other groups on campus that had alcohol bans take theirs seriously?

(that's a joke, no other groups were subject to the ban)

Probably using the same "sources" the MSM uses when completely fabricating negative stories about Trump.

Yeah, because why bother sending a message after a fraternity made a pledge drink so much he died.

Did every frat/sorority have a pledge die of alcohol poisoning?

This isn't about "sending a message" - unless that message is "we're taking advantage of this tragedy to wage the war on Greeks we've been dying to start."

yea...if you tell them they can't drink alcohol, that problem will be gone forever....just like requiring people to be 21 to purchase alcohol has totally eliminated under aged drinking in the US

They will stop drinking alcohol around the same time they stop chanting vulgar things during football games.

That was nice of F. King to be the little pussy that he is and wait until everyone left for the break before announcing it. It's also nice of him to lay down yet another discriminatory ban.

This is so unbelievably stupid. Alexander is going to hurt the school when kids choose competing southern schools who support Greek life like Ole Miss and Alabama over LSU. Need to send an influx of emails to someone threatening to stop donations then maybe they'll reconsider such a shortsighted policy. Then again, maybe not because Alexander continues to prove how much of an idiot he is

One drinking death due to hazing in 100+ years. This isn't some rampant shite.
