Article makes it sound as if he's being pushed out--SWB doing work?

A source close to the department said Rabalais was asked to retire.
When asked if the retirement was voluntary, an LSU spokesman said he could not comment on personnel matters.
"Our policy is to not comment on personnel matters, but there have been no terminations at the police department," said spokesman Ernie Ballard.
"We will begin a national search for his permanent successor and put together plans for a transition plan in the near future," Ballard added. "Until an interim chief is named, Maj. Bart Thompson will oversee administrative and operational matters relating to LSUPD."

Move Dabadie over to LSU then she can't hire who she wants for BRPD?

SWB doesn't have any authority over LSUPD.

Why waste the time? Just take after Joe Alleva and hire one of the booking officers.

It's a reference to LSU being cucked and siding with the NBR mafia

Well, he'll have an exhaustive national search then hire one of the beat cops.

I bet you thought that was funny

I'm not sure what the turmoil would be. Rabalais was always a fair baw. He knew how to the let BS slide when it came to the kids just being drink and stupid: Lock them up and let them dry out, but not officially charge them.

It was at least a tiny bit so.

I was leaning more on the sad side, actually.

I have a feeling overtime pay will become the norm for every police department across America. Either that or less policing. Thanks to Obama and the SJW, there has been a 60% decrease in applicants in the past year.

It's been this way for decades among public employees. We're just now starting to find out about it thanks to St. Nakamoto.

Anyone know what the pay rate is for overtime for LSUPD? Is it 1.0X Salary, 1.5X Salary, 2X Salary?
I'm sure there's some fraud going on there where people are claiming overtime for work that simply isn't possible.

I could be wrong, but I believe it is 1.5 for any hours per week over 40 up to 60 and 2.0 for any hours over 60. There's no cap to the number of hours they can charge, so the average employee works 80 hours per week according to the records. When they retire, they get their full salary at the highest average at which they were paid (including OT).
There is so much fraud in this at every level of government, it's insane. It's why our public employee pension systems are in collapse.

The overtime is pretty much a nonissue. As the article even states, most of the funds aren't even state funds.

No. None of the OT contributes to retirement. If they make 50k regularly but 75k with OT when that officer retires his retirement is on the 50k regular pay.
