Pretty sure it's a chick, they choose their school based on what colors are in this fall.

You never once said you love Tuscaloosa and the surrounding area. Sounds like you've made up your mind.

What you plan to major in should probably be the most important factor.

Either school is fine academically, and the experiences and memories will probably be about the same.

we've got enough bananas in Tuscaloosa, go to LSU.

But to try to answer your Bama questions, let me be sure. You say have been going to a community college, so you won't be a true freshman. Are you male or female? If you want to be in the Greek system, it is competitive, and I am not sure how many take transfers. Typically, the Greek system, especially the sororities, want incoming freshmen, so they can hope to have them for the 4 years, not just 2. However, I must say that I am not too familiar with the system here in 2017, so you had better check it out for yourself.
Honestly, the memories you make at a school boil down to a handful of the friends you will meet and you can find good ones at any school. Good luck.

Alabama is a better school. And I'd rather live in Tuscaloosa for 4 years than Baton Rouge.

My SIL had Bama parents, his dad even played for The Bear, but he went to USM. He's glad he did. Don't just follow your parents, make your own way.

Go to LSU.

I hope OP isn't an English major.

Your two years in community college didn't teach you how to use commas and paragraphs?

What are the cost differences? What is your program of study? Which school has a better reputation for that program of study?

You're going to flunk English writing classes.

Maybe college isn't your thing.

uhh don't make your college decision based on a football team.

I'm in my mid 30's, have never been to college and love LSU, I would for sure pick LSU over Alabama
