Current undergrad at LSU and recently took GMAT. I've done my fair share of research but wanted to gauge the boards honest opinion on LSU's Business School. Would love to honest feedback from recent graduates and so on, such as what they thought going in to how they looked back at it upon completion.

I'm also looking at a few other B-schools such as ole miss and UGA. UT-Dallas as well.

Thoughts?

Thanks again!

What is your undergrad degree, and which degree will you be seeking?

If you want the best in the SE, go to Vandy. If not, decide where you will live, and find out who has the largest alumni base. That's how you will get a job.

Vandy is a great choice. Or Emory. Or Georgia Tech.

Work 4-5 years AT A MINIMUM before getting your MBA. You're welcome.

Go get work experience before grad school. 2 years is plenty.

Dallas has booming economy/job market and great network base. Business School degree could only help.

UT Dallas has a top 50 B-school, believe it or not.

#37, to be exact.

You could do worse than UT-Dallas. But LSU is in the top 75, so its not bad, either.

If you are looking to get an MBA, my advice would be to work for a couple of years for whoever you can get a job with. An MBA is completely worthless for someone who has just finished undergrad. And on the plus-side you may be able to finagle a company to shell out for the degree, instead of having to pay for it yourself

Eh, it's okay. If you want a "booming" economy/job market, then head south on 35...

I went to LSU and got my MBA two years ago. I had only a year of working a real job before starting. Take the advice of working first and longer than a year. Use employer programs to pay your tuition and be more useful. Those that had some real experience were able to get a lot more out of the program because they could think about their own experiences and how it applied. If you go straight from undergrad, employers will pretty much view you as straight from undergrad.

UTD is a good school and a lot of good candidates come from there, at least in accounting they do.

550 may not cut it for LSU's program
