LSP looking for suspect who shot at trooper

LSP said the trooper made a traffic stop on Old River Road at LA Hwy 1 in Rapides Parish. The trooper said the driver started a fight with him, during which the trooper was hit in the head with an unknown object.
As the driver got back in his car and tried to flee LSP said a passenger in the car shot at the trooper, and the trooper returned fire. The car fled the scene, and the trooper was not hit in the shooting.
LSP said law enforcement agencies are looking for an older model 90s model Chevrolet Caprice with a gray paint job or primer color. The car had a temporary tag and dark tint on its windows. The trooper said there were several people in the car when the shooting happened.

Good money says the suspect will keep driving this uncommon car out in public even after this like a total dumbass.

I'm sure he has more sense than to do that. Probably a doctor or attorney who just had a bad day.

Until they paint the car, which it's seems their of the black African persuasion. Many black folks has chop shops/body shops in Louisiana.

They good kids. Just having a lot to deal with. Po-po shouldnt have been so agressive, it his fault he was shot at after being hit on the head.

His dashcam video will give the plates. They also call the plates in before exiting the car. If the plates were not for the car it should take no more than 24 hours to ID them.
That temp tag had to be issued somewhere. I hope they set up snipers before going to gather the trash.
