I'm going to the races in Vidor tonight. It will be my first time going to a horse race event. Can anyone enlighten me on what to expect? Also what sort of attire should I wear?

If you go to Vidor and expect to be at Delta Downs, you gonna be disappointed baw

You mean Vinton. You go to Klan rallies in Vidor. Wear jeans and a shirt. Don't expect much in the way of the crowd. It ain't the Derby crowd hanging out in Vinton. Otherwise, you should have fun.

Attire should be equal to your namesake, superfresh. Horse racing is a gentleman's game so dress in your best suit and you'll blend in

Expect a smokey slot parlor and horse racing. Haven't been in probably 10 years, but the restaurant there had a decent steak, and you could see the horses run from your table and place bets.
Jeans and a button down shirt is considered dressy there. Although I think you should show up with a seersucker suit and have your date in a fancy hat, just to tell us about the experience.

Don't dress up
Should see some decent la breds running tonight.
Hubby used to be the assistant at the barn with Sunbean. He's a super cool horse. Should run away with it. If something happens and he doesn't break, etc, then if throw a little on one king's man.
Heitai is pretty much unbeatable at 5 f so should kill in the sprint. Anything further and he struggles.
Delta is a tiny track with no seating that's mostly just slots. Not a fancy place and not really a great representation of racetracks (though the people are).
Apparently we have the 2 horse in the 3rd tonight. I know nothing about him, though

Dress like your going to a football game. Blue jeans t-shirt shorts its not a dress up type of an event
Steakhouse will be closed to the owners and trainers of horses running tonite. Either the buffet or a few small restaurants by the casino is all they have left.
Crowd should not be that big but down on the apron it could be a small crowd watching the races.
I was going to go but decided to watch it on TV

Everybody in the horse world wears this 365, you'll blend in seamlessly and thank me tomorrow.

Yea they do have a good steak. Me and an ex used to go once a month to eat and bet on races.
