Landry said the stateside investigation is still trying to find its footing. “We still aren’t at day one,” Landry said. “We are working with the federal government to transfer the evidence over that is going to be housed by State Police and we will conduct a very thorough investigation.”

Full Story - BR Business Report

I understand the want and need for another thorough investigation by the state of Louisiana this time. But at some point, communicate out to the Sterling supporters that progress is being made - give them something - but not this.

I imagine this comment was made due to the upcoming 6/14 BR Metro Council meeting where Alton Sterling will be one of the topic's of discussion.

And it would have been his berfday as well.

Translation: They have yet to find a way to twist the evidence in a way to get their desired outcome.

Landry is not qualified for this job. He's barely a real lawyer

when the state attorney general declares that there will be no charges against the police officers after the investigation, will it then be the EBR DA's turn to investigate?

The citizens of La. were not served properly when our legal authorities abrogated their duty and let the Federal authorities take control of this case.

Justice has been delayed. There is no excuse for this, but manyvlocal politicians didn't want any part of this case.

And then there were the others who wanted to hang the officers before a trial.

It's not quite that simple, as in most cases there's nuance here that the media likes to ignore.

For example, many of us hate cops and black people. Whose side were we supposed to take? Did the media explore this or ask our opinions? Of course not.

Nope, he recused himself.

Landry is representing the state's interests and he is charged with determining whether or not criminal charges should be brought against the officer or officers.

He should have done this way back when.

I think i know what he means, there are some lawyers, because of connections who are fast tracked, and end up getting really cushy jobs, w/o any experience actually being a lawyer.

I can remember a lawyer getting an AD position, and he had never been in court for a criminal case. He was a lawyer who handled Business/Corporate shite, a lot of bankruptcy shite. But he had connections that finally paid off.

I'm not talking about the media, I'm talking about our public servants who aren't doing their jobs or who don't want to follow the rule of law.

Translation: We hope everybody will forget about this before we make the announcement that everybody knows is coming.
