looking to rent an apartment

I work in Luling. Looking for a nice area to live in for a year. Looking at apartments, condo or town home. Wouldn't want to drive no more than 45 mins away from my job site. Any recommendations?

If single find the cheapest dive bar in town. Rent something within walking distance.
You can go get hammered after your 6 12's and won't even have to worry about driving home

I've looked on Zillow and Trulia. I just don't know what areas are nice and which are bad areas. I have a pregnant wife def need a nice family oriented place or apartment

Dude you work where it's nice 
St Charles Parish has great public schools if you have kids and little to no crime. It's also close enough to Metairie and New Orleans to do whatever you want in those areas.
