Specifically 265 70 R17.

I don't want mud tires. Right now I'm leaning towards Nitto Grapplers. It's for a newer 4Runner Trail. I would like some opinions.

Yokohama and Hankook have good AT tires. I had Yoko Geolander A/T-S for a long time on my 4x4 Cherokee and when they needed to be replaced, went with the slightly cheaper at the time Hankook DynaPro ATM RF10. No complaints about either.

Those look like mud tires. Or a hybrid.

Got 40k on mine and looks to have that much wear left on them. I been off roading out west and through deeper mud than I thought all terrains would go through.

I wouldn't have anything else.

"Ruts" are the beginning of "impassable" by their very existence. BUT it all really began by the first vehicle that passed through the area. "aggressive all-terrain tires" only allow some vehicles to continue to go through the rutted area as the ruts become worse. Eventually even those vehicles will not be able to go through the ruts. Then and only then has it become truly impassable.

So you see that simple street treaded tires may be the reason passage becomes impassable.

Mickey Thompson ATz for sure.

I've run through some tires and these are by far the best I've had. Real smooth ride, good traction and last a long time.

Big arse aggressive tires continue to dig and dig and dig until even they can't dig any deeper. We have this one guy on our lease that has insane tires on his buggy and has made the trail to mine, his, and my dad's stands fricking hell. We never had a problem getting there until he got those tires.

Duratracs. End of story.

They will outlast all of the others if rotated properly.

They kick arse in rain and snow. The perform better than some mud terrains in the mud.
