Why don't you post the rest of the story that explains why he's leaving

WWL has been the ratings king in New Orleans for so long it's time for a heel turn.

Is he taking Tameka with him? Thats all I want to know.

Mike really should have gotten the radio slot that was undeservedly gifted to Angela Hill. He should have been the face and voice of WWL IMO.

Explain to our listeners why he's leaving and what it is he's going to do.

WWL-TV and WWL Radio are not one in the same.

I could be wrong, but I've been noticing a change taking place at WWL News, and it's definitely not for the better.
First, the news coverage seemed to be subtly different. The coverage seems to be more progressive now in it's approach. It's the stories they choose to cover, and the ones they don't, as well as how they cover the stories.
For example, they had a news story over the holidays about a new women's rights organization led by Helena Moreno. Something about promoting women's leadership. The news story stated as fact that Louisiana women have it BAD. Worst state in the nation for women! It cited "a ranking", but didn't give ANY specifics on why it's so bad for women. Then the story pivoted to the groups plan to change the rules regarding doctors prescribing Viagra for men, and that they want to make it so that a man has to see a psychiatrist first before a doctor could prescribe Viagra. This was also NOT explained.
My teenage son turned to me and asked what the heck that was all about, and I told him I had no idea, but hinted that bitches be crazy.
Secondly, as you might have noticed, WWL has started airing the national morning show instead of the local show on Channel 4 in the morning. What the heck? The local morning show on WWL was a long time juggernaut in that time slot! How did they let it slip so low?
First Jim Henderson and Lee Zurick jump ship, and now Mike Hoss is leaving to start his own news organization (alternative media)? Looks like a pattern.
I love Mike Hoss. Probably the best newsman around. I hope he does well.

Paul isn't that great at OPs. He usually just has a blind link. I too prefer at least a snippet from the page being linked to.

I switched to Channel 8 years ago. WWL is a lot like the Picayune...slowly dying.

Played golf with Mike a few months back. Very nice guy.

Their sports coverage is nothing short of a joke. The leading anchors are a flaming dude and a chick.

Hiring their Northshore correspondent to replace Jim fricking Henderson was the beginning of the end for WWL. Doug Mouton is so fricking bad it's just laughable at this point. Juan should've been named the director the second Henderson was officially out the door.

wasn't Mouton doing sports before he was moved to the Northshore desk though?
