16 hours when connecting through LAX, and 12 hours on a different trip when departing Palm Springs. The LAX delay sucked worse because it was mid-trip. We had to get our shite gathered up and schlep to a nearby hotel (after waiting like 5 hours for the perpetually-delayed flight). The Palm Springs delay was awesome. We were commuting between BR and SoCal, but we had a CA physical address we could use. So, I had gotten a medical weed card. Getting my flight bumped to the next day was an excuse to hit the dispensary and enjoy an enlightening evening in the desert.

When I was like 17 I was flying back from DTW. Stopped in CLT and my flight to MSY was cancled. They flew me to DCA, and when I got there, I waited on standby and ended up not leaving until the 5:30am the next day. All in all, it was about 18 hours.

Leaving MSY for SAV with a stop in ATL, we had to wait an hour for maintenance to fix the PA system. We finally taxied to the runway only to turn off and shut down our engines. Turns out we missed our arrival slot into ATL and sat for another hour or so. Ended up spending nearly 2.5 hours on a plane without taking off for a 45 minute flight....

10 hours. Flying from Japan to Seattle. Our flight got delayed cause f*cking North Korea was apparently "testing" some missiles. All flights were delayed to keep the airspace clear until they figured out what the hell was actually going on.

5 hours. but i had to sit in the plane the whole time. storms made it to where we were going to have to circle for 2-3 hours and we didn't have the gas, so we had to land in a podunk town 45 minutes away and pay for the gas through alternative means since SW doesn't land there normally.
This happened to me once going into Denver. We circled and circled and circled and finally landed in Colorado Springs to refuel and then took back off and went to Denver. While we were sitting and waiting on the Tarmac in Colorado Springs, I called United and changed my connecting flight to a later time. I got one of the last seats on that last flight out. They had to put up a lot of people for the night in Denver.

Flight to Ireland canceled. Delta, ATL

Slept in the airport on the ground. Found out the next day we weren't even guaranteed tickets for the next flight out and had to go get new ones. We got them for free but it was a clusterfrick

24 hours flying out of Vegas. Middle of summer and was about 1.674x10^7 degrees in the shade. Little Embraer commuter jet couldn't take off because the air was too thin, or so they said. They unloaded the plane, gave us our bags back and said try again tomorrow. Then they loaded up the plane with other passengers and flew to San Diego.
