They really do serve one of the best cups of coffee money can buy in Baton Rouge. I've always loved chatting with them when I visit their truck. Really kind people who love what they do. They had been visiting my office every Friday for the past several weeks.

Their Story:
We are devastated to announce that our six week old business Small Coffee Big Taste, a two year concept that took us seven months to build, went up in flames on Cinco De Mayo day. We are so extremely happy that no one was hurt and we hope that from the ashes, we can rebuild our family business again. We invested everything into this family business, built it ourselves, deigned our website and logo, worked 84 hours every week, cashed in two IRA's - there is no plan B. Even my grandparents believed so much in us that they invested some of their life savings into our business. We normally ask nothing from anyone because we take care of ourselves, however - in this time of need, we are asking for your support to help us rebuild our business.

This was, and still is a family dream, everyone has worked day and night for this to be a reality and just at that moment when our business was starting to become something special - it was destroyed.

While our business was up and running, we served arguably the best cup of coffee in the nation - seriously.

We sourced espresso beans from local Baton Rouge, LA coffee roaster Cafeciteaux that was considered "Specialty Level" with a cupping value above 80+.

Most coffee shops do not do that.

Me and my father trained for two years to perfect the art of making espresso drinks and become experts - we even discovered some secrets that helped to make our coffee superb.

Most Barista know next to nothing about coffee.

Before we entered into our adventure with coffee, me and my family did a lot of traveling over the course of 5 years.

Out of 36 States, Canada and the UK, I threw away nearly 500 cups of espresso based coffee drinks because of how bad they were.

We found approx. 10 good cups of coffee at smaller cafes here and there in that time period, which only accounts for just 2%.

The whole reason we started this business was because the majority of coffee shops in America has been and still is sub-standard.

Unfriendly, lack of knowledge, poor hygiene, low quality.

Anyone who visited our trailer or spoke with us can tell you how clean, professional, friendly and knowledge able we are about our craft.

Hundreds of people have told us how much they love our coffee - those that lived in Italy have said we are the only coffee shop to ever serve a cappuccino that tasted just like they had in Europe.

Our vision with Small Coffee was never just to serve coffee out of trailer, but to use that trailer as a means to expand and grow to provide the absolute best coffee experience everywhere!

If you are disappointed with poor quality coffee shops and want to drink a latte worth paying for, this is your opportunity to make a difference.

The most devistating thing about all of this is that we were only six weeks old.

Whenever you start a new business, you never earn anything until you pay yourself back. We haven't even begun to see profit, we had to put it back into the business and pay bill just to survive.

This trailer was our ONLY source of income - working towards a stand alone location.

Now we have nothing but a burned truck and trailer.

The very ship we built to stay afloat had an engine fire, sunk into the ocean and here we are clinging on to a piece of drift wood asking for a lifeboat.

We have truck insurance and partial insurance on the trailer, but there is absolutely no way that it will cover even 1/4 of our losses. As with most budding businesses, our primary concern was liability insurance and the risk of loss of contents in an espresso trailer (no cooking - thus no grease fires possible) is extremely LOW! We never dreamed anything so devastating could wipe out our entire inventory and appliances! Our concession trailer was amazing - we have incredibly happy memories in there! To loose so much so quick is mind boggling to say the least. It took us all of our resources; months to get the trailer to where it was - and will take us many more to reestablish. We need all the help we can get and we will truly cherish your much needed support!
