Live Music in Fort Worth

Recently started seeing someone and we are going out in Fort Worth this weekend. I'm in Dallas so I don't get to FW much at all. Anyone know of some good live music spots over there?

Billy Bob's
LINK
ETA: looking at the lineup this weekend, I wouldn't bother with Billy Bob's. Go downtown to Sundance Square, they usually have a lot going on during the weekends.

I just looked up Big Smo and he is a "country rap" musician. What the hell? I think Billy Bob's may be a little too country for me

Billy Bob's is a country music venue. Lot's of good Texas Country groups play there.
Your best bet is going to be Sundance Square if you want to do FW, but you might be better off staying in Dallas.
If I was there this weekend, I'd go see Randy Rogers at Gexa pavilion.
ETA: Just realized it's Randy Rogers Band, Jason Isbell, Stoney Larue & Whiskey Myers. I'd without hesitation be at Gexa on Saturday night. If your date is from FW, chances are she is into Texas country. You take her to Gexa and you might get your cherry popped.

Are you just trying to bar hop? I was there last weekend with my sister and we used emilioo's thread advice for bars and things to do. The reservoir was good for happy hour (3-7) and there were a lot of bars around that area that I'd assume have live music late at night. We ended up at a comedy club by sundance square for $10. I'm sure you'll find something

Joe T Garcias. You'll be trashed by the time they seat you to a table. Overrated IMO, but not a bad place to go grab some drinks.

Big Smo being booked there should tell you how bad this place must be IMO

Magnolia Motor Lounge. Always a live band and fun crowd, and I like the staff a lot, too. They get some good acts, and music peeps hang out there as well. I was one of 5 people out on the patio late one night and 1 of those other people was Ryan Bingham.
It's always our favorite stop when we're in FW.

Sundance Square FTW. Pete's piano bar is a good spot if it's still around. Been a while since I have gone.
