Classic Chicago-style crookedness:

Little League Baseball has stripped the U.S. championship from the Chicago-based Jackie Robinson West team and has suspended the coach for violating a rule prohibiting the use of players who live outside the geographic area that the team represents, it was announced Wednesday.

The Jackie Robinson West team, the first all-African-American team to win the championship, must vacate wins from the 2014 Little League Baseball International Tournament -- including its Great Lakes Regional and United States championships.

Cue the naacp to come in and claim that the Little League is racist.

Rules are rules, and shame on them for teaching and creating a culture of cheating and lying to get ahead with that whole team.

It's the right thing to do for leagues/teams that were doing things within the framework of the rules and being successful.

Not saying that. But some idiots set that standard that its okay to cheat to win. Win at all cost.

I'm amazed that LL was able to track these kids. I've been coaching DYB for over 20 years and I deal with multiple addresses every year, often times one that is within the boundary and one that is outside of it. Mom lives in one location and Auntie or Grandmother live in another. The kids wind up splitting time between the two households.

These coaches and parents just got lazy.
