Need about 5-10 yards of limestone for a driveway in BR. Who has decent prices? I can spread it, just need it delivered.

I'll hang up and listen.

For your troubles, I offer this hipster pug picture:

I'm trying to find 10 yds of washed gravel or river rock (for drainage) today. I tried yesterday and the problem was that all deliveries are a week or more out. It looks like I'll be doing a couple of loads in my truck today.

FWIW - Jim Stone Co is open today till 1, but I think they are the highest priced in town.

I don't need it today. Just within the next couple of weeks. Jim stone is too expensive.

I'm bumping this thread to thank the OT for the reccommendations. Hollis kinchen was great, cheap, fast, and damn near did a perfect spread with his truck.

OT saved me a few hundred dollars!

Limestone is vague. What kind of limestone do you want?

He or his kids now, make a very good flowerbed mix and a different vegetable garden mix. I get a 12 yard load a lot. Had the vegetable load a couple months ago. Good stuff.

They can get the Amite river gravel someone above is looking for.

I don't know of any naturally occurring limestone outcrops in BR.

Jim Stone

And Bear Industries is your limestone source in Port Allen and somewhere else down River. When I was young no one used limestone it was all white shells on driveways which came from Lake Pontchatrain. When they decided to clean up the lake dredging was not allowed. I remember many gas wells in the lake too which are gone.
