I worked in a luxury hotel in college and got to know him. He got a room 3 or 4x a month and used to get me his new stuff before anyone had it.

I hate that stupid piece of trash, but this isn't a good measuring stick of how much $ he has. Hell, Steve Harvey used to sleep in his car and look at him now. The entertainment industry can change things quick.

The police had his jewelry. They initially said they didn't have it but now state they are waiting on one of his reps to pick it up

Actually he was in Biloxi for a sold out arena event, among a plethora of other hip hop concerts in the area for "Black College Spring Break"
It's grown tremendously over the last several years. I was working a concert last year there and legit took 4 hours to get 8 miles by car through there. It's turned into quite a large scale event for the black / hip hop community.
So that's why he'd be there, why he was at the mall could be anyone's guess.
