Lexapro, Zoloft and other depression meds. Whats your experience with them?

I was put on Zoloft 25 MG a while back and that shite made me feel bat shite crazy, and made me sick as a dog. Throwing up and felt like I had the Flu. Well my Dr now wants me to start taking Lexapro 10 MG because my anxiety has been at an all time high and its making my blood pressure sky rocket at times, and Benzos arent the best solution. So my question is, is Lexapro = or worse than Zoloft? I know that I will be taking a smaller dose, but damn I hate medicine and it scares the shite out of me to take this crap. Any advice would be appreciated.

Scotch. If that doesn't work then grow a set... Unless you're a woman in which case it's probably just PMS.

I had the same reaction to Zoloft.
Two years ago, I tried Lexapro 20 mg/day and it's worked quite well. Depression, anxiety almost entirely abated. Lexapro is really making the serotonin groove in my head, give it a shot.

Sounds like you've gotta shitty doc/peddler. Just tell him you're back hurts, score some opiates and call it a day.

Have you tried the real Lexapro? Wonder if there is much difference.

I can get whatever drugs I want to get from my Dr because he trust me. I dont abuse drugs and I dont need opiates.

Nope, and don't want to. My scrip costs me $16 a month.

1) Sell them to someone who does.
2) Earn enough money to make you fell better about yourself and not need anti-depressants.
3) ?
4) Profit.

And I don't need to drink a box of wine every night, but if you're having anxiety why not try and make life a little less shitty for awhile?

Can't compare different chemicals on a mg basis like that. 10 mg is a low dose of lexapro just like 25mg is a low dose of Zoloft. That being said, different SSRIs affect people in different ways. Lexapro may work better for you. The best one for me was celexa, but benzos work better for me.

it takes a while to work, but it's unrelated to benzos or barbs. so, it doesn't carry the risks of physical dependence or withdrawal symptoms. and it's non-sedating. and not a controlled substance. you do have to take it every day.

You need to see a psychiatrist
