Just because white people don't go to prison for pot, doesn't mean other people don't go to prison for pot.

Well anyone who is required to be drug tested for a job wouldn't be able to use it. Companies still will have the requirements to be clean. Of course we would random test much more if they make it legal, don't need some high pot head blowing up the place.

Not all that familiar with the legislative process, but how difficult is it to get a bill revived or reconsidered? Rep Honore sponsored HB117 for legalization in the 2015 session that was voluntarily tabled after he saw it wouldn't get out of committee. Honore is no longer a rep, so he will not be reviving it himself.

If you are in prison for weed 99% of the time it is because you made your living from it. What will these people do when they get out? Get legit jobs when our real unemployment rate is near 20% and they have a record? Nope! It's welfare at best but the most likely scenario is they will resort to worse crime when they get sick of minimum wage.

So you are going way off topic into a recidivism issue in an attempt to argue that releasing nonviolent criminals is actually a negative. By your logic every dealer should just get a life sentence.

Also, this is completely false. If you are black and get caught with weed a repeated # of times you are going to jail. Just look at the inhumane possession laws in Louisiana. Up to 6 months jail time for a second offense of simple possession of weed.
