My lawnmower (see link), approximately two years old

Troy Built w/Honda Engine

starts immediately and then as fast as it starts, it kills.

I've only used regular unleaded gasoline (no ethanol) and made sure that the air filter is clean.

Clogged carburetor? Or spark plug? Or something else?

Fuel. Not the plug-it's getting fire since it's starting.

The little lever that you pull before you pull to crank some times gets stuck. When you first pull the lever it gives the engine gas. It is suppose to slide back to its original position. If it isn't, just push into place after starting.

Typically this has to do with carb. Clean it very well, use fresh gas should be good to go.

I didn't think it would be the spark plug either, since it is firing, but from what I read on-line, one article mentioned that it could be ...

I'll check this out. I'm hoping it is a quick and cheap fix with carb cleaner.

On another note and not to start a new topic, will my local hardware store carry the "bulb" that is use to prime a weedeater?

Mine (Echo) is cracked.

Highland Road Hardware and Home Depot carry the bulb.

My wife is cutting the grass and I'm on the porch drinking a beer and watching. My neighbor Gladys Cravitch just walked by looked at her and me and said "you should be hung."

I told her I was that's why my wife is cutting the grass.

Put your hand under there while starting and see if the blade is turning.

Mine is making me fire my lawn guy and do my own yard work. I think I have regressed as I have gotten older.

The reason I know where the bulbs are is because my wife found them and replaced it after I threw it in the corner and bought a new blower.

Also check for loose connection on transmission neutral, blade, and seat cut-offs.

Also low oil pressure switch.
