Question. Would you pay someone $1000 to clean a septic tank, and then go clean it yourself instead but still pay them the money?

No, but when trash blows into my yard, I don't whine about it, I go pick it up myself and throw it in my trash can. I don't wait for someone to come out an help me.

And I don't have a septic tank, I live in civilization, but if you pay someone before they do a job it's a recipe for disaster. COD

Eventually it will bloat and explode. Maybe some buzzards will come and eat it?

Some men are such pussies these days...

If it was such a big deal, why couldn't you just get some gloves, a shovel, and a big black garbage bag and scoop the dog up? Mother of god, by the time you went through all of this you could have just taken care of it yourself

I'm not saying that it's not a disgusting situation or that I wouldn't be annoyed too, but frick man, if it's that big of a deal, man up and take care of it yourself

Yeah he could've but instead brought light to what appears to be a worsening situation at that complex. Duck shite everywhere, trash, section 8... maybe management starts doing their job now.

Section 8 housing is more along the lines of something you should be complaining about. I've seen section 8 apartments completely wreck good neighborhoods

Admittedly, I only read the OP and skipped the rest of the thread

Check page 2. Another poster who lives in the neighborhood chimed in as well.

Drag it to the management office door or front entrance.

Swimming in the pond late last night
Shoulda swam left shoulda swam right
He didn't see the shore, oh so far
The dog got drowned and there you are

Ya got your Dead Dog in the middle of the pond
Dead Dog in the middle of the pond
Dead Dog in the middle of the pond
Stinkin to high heaven

Take a whiff on me, that ain't no rose
Roll up your window and hold your nose
You don't have to look and you don't have to see
'Cause you can feel it in your olfactory

Yeah, you got your dead cat and you got your dead skunk
Yeah, you got your dead cat and you got your dead damn dog
Got your dead rabbit and your drowned dog
The blood and the guts, it smells like funk

You got it, it's dead, it's in the middle of the pond
Dead dog in the middle
Dead dog in the middle of the pond
Stinking to high heaven

In the OP, it says they take section 8 vouchers here now. I honestly had no idea that was the case. I feel like that's something they should've told us. We definitely won't be renewing our lease now.

Get used to this happening all over the parish. All of this stupid turbocharged expansion of rental complexes just means the hood will be moving into the older ones.

It's a shame that market forces do not work with apartments. Unlike most businesses they do not have to keep their facilities up because once they lose their newness they simply lower their rents and have the govt. subsidize their tenants.

Instead of reinvesting in their properties they simply pocket the money.

Market forces do not work because the govt. is involved.

Well done, Donald. That sweater is nearly as heinous as the dead dog. That's a big arse lake, I had no idea that it was over there.

pretty much the strategy of all the college housing apartments around campus. Build new, let the kids frick it up for a few years, then section 8 it, build another....

BS. Any respectable person who cares about their complex would never cave into Section 8.

It's a good read, but I would have just got out my flat blade shovel and put the dog in the dumpster.

Put some peppermint oil mixed with vicks on your nostrils and you can't smell a thing.

Though I do get at an apartment you shouldn't have to do these things. Just saying when I come across a dead animal, I get the flat blade shovel and put it in the nearest can. (never my own though )
