Whats the expected driving time from north/central lafayette area to the maurice area during 5:00 traffic. Asking because Im looking to move to that area and trying to determine about how long it would take. Normal driving takes about 25min I would guess

What are you calling "North central"?

It's all about the river crossings.. If you can stay on one side of river, then there are tons of side streets to get where you're going

Probably 35-45 minutes. Would you be farther than the university?

ETA: take congress to ambassador, cut through behind the hobby lobby and come out on Johnston by the Race Track. Probably would take 40 minutes or so.

ETA2: it might actually be faster to take Congress to a left on Rue du Belier, take a right on Duhon, then a left on W Broussard and then a right on Touchet. That will take you to Johnston/167 out of Lafayette and should avoid most traffic.

Nothing moves quickly in Lafayette ever. Regardless of the time of day the traffic is pathetic. I'd say give yourself 45 minutes minimum

If you look at my second edit, that is probably going to be your fastest route with the least traffic.

You've probably heard, but Lourdes is probably the safer bet going forward. It doesn't rely on state funding (public private partnerships) like University hospital does.

I live by Lafayette High and work out near Milton. Takes me 20 minutes to get home from work taking Broussard to Johnston then side roads to Congress. Takes about 15 to get to work via Ambassador.
